Animatronic Shows at Chuck E. Cheese in Chile

Over the years, Chuck E. Cheese locations in Chile have featured various types of animatronic shows. Below is a detailed list of each show, along with their characteristics and the locations where they were installed.

2-Stage:

Location: Mall Plaza Vespucio (1996 - 2000)

The 2-Stage consisted of two separate sections. On the left side was a stage dedicated to Chuck E. Cheese, while the right side featured a shared stage for the following characters, from left to right:

1. Chuck E. Cheese

2. Helen Henny

3. Mr. Munch

4. Jasper T. Jowls

5. Pasqually

A television screen was located between the two sections, displaying animations and interactive content during performances. This was the only 2-Stage installed in Chile, operating at Mall Plaza Vespucio from 1996 until the location's closure in 2000.

1-Stage:

     Chuck E. Cheese Cantagallo (2014)

Locations: Cantagallo (1994 - Present), Mall Plaza Oeste (2011 - 2024)

The 1-Stage setup featured the same character lineup as the 2-Stage, in the following order:

1. Chuck E. Cheese

2. Helen Henny

3. Mr. Munch

4. Jasper T. Jowls

5. Pasqually

All characters were placed on a single connected platform, without a television dividing them.

Differences Between the 1-Stage Setups:

Cantagallo (1994 - Present): A standard 90s 1-Stage installation, identical to those found in other locations worldwide. It originally included a turntable for Chuck E. Cheese, which was removed in 2008.

Mall Plaza Oeste (2011 - 2024): This 1-Stage was unique because it was built using recycled parts and decorations from the former 2-Stage at Mall Plaza Vespucio. The animatronics were also reused from that store.

When Mall Plaza Oeste closed in late 2024, the animatronics were transported to Cantagallo, allowing for the continued operation of a 1-rStage at that location.

Studio C Beta:

Locations: Viña del Mar (2011 - Present), Mall Plaza La Florida (2011 - Present), Mall Plaza Concepción (2011 - Present)

The Studio C Beta format features a single Garner Holt Chuck E. Cheese animatronic and includes a large video screen beside him. Additionally, some betas featured an interactive blue screen that allowed children to appear on the screen through a camera, providing an engaging experience. However, most of these screens are currently out of use. The setup displays music videos, animations, and other content, creating a dynamic performance while reducing maintenance costs. All Chilean Studio C Beta installations feature 16-movement animatronics.

Circles of Light

Locations: Los Trapenses (2014 - Present), La Serena (2015 - Present)

The Circles of Light format features a single Garner Holt Chuck E. Cheese animatronic and a video screen behind him. This setup includes circular LED light decorations that change colors in sync with the music. While visually distinct, this show type is more basic compared to Studio C Beta.

Dance Floor

Locations: Mall Plaza Norte (2019 - Present), Open Kennedy (2020 - Present), Mall Plaza Sur (2021 - Present), Puerto Montt (2022 - Present), Antofagasta (2022 - Present), Portal Temuco (2023 - Present)

The Dance Floor format is an interactive experience that does not include animatronics. It features:

An interactive LED dance floor that responds to movement

Multiple TV screens displaying music videos and animations

- Themed lighting and sound effects

This show style is currently the most common in Chile, with six locations having installed it since 2019.

Stageless (Botless)

Location: New Plaza Oeste (Opening Late 2024)

The Stageless format features no animatronics and no dance floor, consisting solely of a large screen displaying video content. This setup is designed for smaller locations or those focusing on arcade games and food rather than stage performances. The new Plaza Oeste location, that opened in late 2024, was the first in Chile to feature a Stageless show.

This list captures the evolution of animatronic shows at Chuck E. Cheese locations in Chile, showcasing the transition from traditional performances to modern interactive experiences.
